#2 – Chemical sunscreens
Everybody’s aware of the dangers ultraviolet light poses for your skin. So, you want your fragile baby properly protected during a walk on a sunny day.
Make sure to buy sunscreens especially those designed for babies from reputable brands, as they’ll most likely be zinc-oxide based. This type of sunscreens protects your baby’s skin from UV rays while drastically reducing the risk of skin irritation or chemical absorption.
If it’s a newborn baby, you should be even more cautious: use ultraviolet-blocking clothing, avoid exposition to direct sunlight and apply SPF 30-50 sunscreen made for children to all the small areas that could potentially be exposed to sunlight.
And one more thing. Use sunscreen all year-round, as UV rays don’t take winter vacations.
