The currently 12-year-old Mari Copeny is best known as Little Miss Flint.
Back when she was 8 years old, she was deeply concerned about the water crisis in Flint and decided to write a letter to Barack Obama in an attempt to convince him to visit the place and help resolve the problem.
Mari never stopped helping her hometown thrive! She partnered with organizations to help local students have truly successful school years and she always speaks fearlessly in public (including the White House.)
This child will be one day recognized as one of the most inspirational women who brought a significant change to this world.
