5 Tips That Will Help You Help Your Kids Manage Stress!

#4 – Teach your kids breathing exercises

It appears that breathing exercises aren’t valued enough, despite the many health benefits they offer.

Breathing exercises such as deep-breathing improve blood flow by allowing the diaphragm to push downward and remove the toxins from the body. They also improve energy levels by increasing oxygen in the body and, again, promoting blood flow.

Help your kid to a comfortable position or tell him/her to lie down on their back, breathe in deeply through their noses, fill their belly with air, and breathe out through their nose. Next, your kid should take three more full and deep breathes while placing their one hand on their belly and the other on their chest.

Another breathing exercise that can help your kid sleep faster if they’re suffering from stress is the 4-7-8 breathing technique. Tell your kids to exhale completely, emptying their lungs from air, and then breathe in slowly and quietly for a full 4 seconds.

Next, the kids must hold their breath for 7 seconds and exhale slowly for a full 8 seconds and repeat the breathing technique for up to 8 times.
