When your baby is sick or down with a fever, specifically, make sure that they get plenty of fluids, otherwise, your baby will get more and more dehydrated which will make the situation worse.
Whether you breastfeed or bottle-feed your baby, what matters is that they stay hydrated. Doctors recommend that newborns drink from 1.5 to 3 ounces every two hours and babies at the age of two months should get from 4 to 5 ounces every 3 hours.
The number of liquids your baby takes should align with their age, as their kidneys may not have matured enough to handle a larger amount (or any amount of water if they’re newborns).
