Children are just that: children. If you find that they have inexplicably started to experience sadness, worry, anxiety, and stress, it is a sign of a troubled mental state or psychological health that could have been triggered by big changes in their lives such as moving somewhere new, getting a new baby sibling, or witnessing parental divorce, etc.
In addition to feelings of hopelessness, they also react more exaggeratedly to different everyday situations; many children may even have childhood depression and suicidal thoughts. And this is a reflection of their troubled mind.
In these situations, it is essential that you use the help of a child therapist to help you understand what is triggering this type of reaction.
