#5 – Empower Kids

Cyberbullying, or bullying in general, is a process, one that involves many people: first we have the aggressor, the child who is inflicting the damage; second, we have the victim, the child on whom the damage is being inflicted; and finally, we have the bystanders, the children who are witnessing the damage being inflicted. All Cyberbullying stories involve these three parties.

Therefore, you need to empower your child to take positive action if he or she finds him or herself witnessing a bullying case. They should learn to be brave enough to stop Cyberbullying whenever they can. This is the responsibility of everyone, young children included. Many examples of Cyberbullying were stopped by conscious children!

Why do people cyber-bully, one can never know for sure! However, generally speaking, bullying is an indication that the child who is doing the bullying is going through some problems of his or her own, and they try to compensate for that by being the problem of someone else. All in all, Cyberbullying should be stopped and kids suffering from it should be helped deal with it by their parents.

Before you go, tell us in the comments below if you’re child has ever gone through a case of Cyberbullying.
