3. Alternative activities

Children need to have various interests. And the more stimulating they are, the better. Here are a few suggestions: Books: There are lots of fun books out there waiting to be discovered. If your kids claim that they don’t like to read, it’s because they just haven’t found the right type of children’s books yet. Take them to the library and let them explore the shelves. Or buy some of your favorite picture books from when you were their age and re-read them with your kids. Movies: How about having a movie night every week? Tons of incredible animation movies will entertain the entire family – and possibly make you cry. It is a great way to show your kids some of your favorite movies of all time, such as Lion King and Toy Story. These films have certainly been important to you and shaped you in some way so that they can do the same for your kids. Cooking with kids: Put your kids in the kitchen and teach them how to cook. In a safe way, of course! Give them small tasks such as whisking eggs or weighing the ingredients. This is a fun and educational activity. They will love it. The only problem is cleaning the kitchen in the end. Get creative: There are hundreds of incredible activities you can do with your kids that don’t require an electronic device. Try some fun games such as hide and seek or the old school marbles. Help them build a blanket fort in the living room. Play cards or paint. Dance with your kids to the rhythm of their favorite songs. These are all great ways to strengthen the family bond while simultaneously reducing screen time. But there are many more options. Get creative!

4. Encourage your kids to practice sports

Besides keeping your children physically active, sports are a fun way to help them grow both personally and emotionally. They allow children to develop important character traits and make new and significant friendships along the way. The pitch is a place where religion, race, and culture don’t matter and where kids learn to respect rules, colleagues, coaches, and opponents. They also learn how to deal with failure and how to overcome themselves to achieve success. There are lots of teams and individual sports that are great for kids. Encourage your children to try a few different sports, and they will certainly fall in love with one.
