6. 4 to 5 Years: Dreaming and Learning the Most Important Values

From 4 to 5 years old, the child shows the world how imaginative and dreamy he or she is. At this age, their brain is thirsty for knowledge (this is where the so-called whys phase appears), and there are no limits to their curiosity. Your baby is not that baby anymore, but a child who wants to find new ideas and be more independent. As a result, at four years of age, the child’s behavior can be more aggressive and have mood swings. However, in the following year, the children become more responsible and try to make others happier. The motor development of children in this period is fantastic since they absorb and manage to do everything: ride a bike, climb trees, and play football, among other activities. And they have the energy for everything. All stages of a child’s growth can be complicated, especially if the child is angrier. So how to deal with a difficult child? You must teach your child the values of a just society, the importance of respecting others, expressing negative emotions most appropriately, and developing open communication with everyone to be better understood.

7. 6 to 12 Years: Making Room for Knowledge and Human Relationships

The 6 to 12-year-old phase is when the child enters school and begins to be educated. This is known as the period of the third childhood, and the child must start to learn new things and to make mental associations about things, which will stimulate his brain activity. Because they attend school and share information and knowledge with others, children make new friends, acquire better body language, and start to become interested in more romantic relationships. So far, so good. But, it should be noted that human relationships can bring negative feelings such as jealousy, envy, selfishness, bullying, among other emotions that may affect their growth.

8. 13 to 18 Years: Dealing with Pressure and Following Ideas

This is considered the period of adolescence when children come out as young adults. Despite being teenagers, your parenting style should make them feel at ease with who they are. In that sense, you must cultivate positive parenting and help and guide your children in the best possible way. It is not easy to be a father or mother in this difficult phase, as in the previous ones. But it is also not easy to be a teenager because they have to deal with several teenage problems, such as acceptance of others, pressures towards the future, good or bad relationships, among other challenges. It is necessary to support, guide, and see that baby who was once in your arms, walking on your own feet. And this is just another phase where you need to be there, like when they were taking their first steps. From 0 to 18 years old is a fantastic journey for parents and children, don’t you agree? Parents always look with love and pride at their children, and the children follow the footsteps and teachings of the parents with enthusiasm and the hope of one day becoming equal.
