2. A Simple Sponge Bath Can Do Wonders

If your child has a very high body temperature, you might consider a bath. It’s a very known fever treatment used for many years. You just have to place your child in a tub of lukewarm water. There’s no need to fill up the tub, a couple of inches are enough.

If your kid starts shivering, the water or the room might be too cold, and if he’s just uncomfortable and continues to shiver it’s best to remove him or her from the bath since that can aggravate the fever. But when done right, it can lower the fever by one or two degrees in the first 30-40 minutes!

All you have to do is carefully bring the water with the sponge and place it on his body, getting the arms and trunk wet is key here. It should feel comforting for your kid, and after a while, he/she should have less fever or, luckily, regained a normal body temperature.
