Once you give birth, your body won’t look any different and you may even have a tiny doubt that you’re still pregnant. Yet, what may surprise even more is how traumatic this change can be.

According to a study on new moms’ eating habits and attitudes, many women described their weight gain as very stressful. Researchers found that the mothers who were more worried about gaining extra pounds were open to education about eating habits.

This means the way new mommies choose to deal with the changes in their shape and body after childbirth may lower their risk of developing a clinical eating disorder.
