The opposite of the condition we mentioned earlier, namely in-toeing, is out-toeing.
In this condition, which is also known as duck-foot, your child’s foot points outward instead of straight which causes their steps to appear wider when they walk or run. Though out-toeing is not usually a concerning condition, it can still cause a bit of discomfort to your child such as limping, knee cap problems, etc.
Out-toeing heals on its own when the toddler starts walking. If it doesn’t, it will require a doctor’s attention. Out-toeing treatment may involve surgery to untwist the bone to a normal position.
Though these leg conditions are common and usually not serious, there is still a small chance that they are, so you should take your child to see a doctor anyway!
