#9 – Drinking more caffeine than you should

If you can’t afford to avoid caffeine for nine whole months, there are no studies that tell you to quit caffeine, especially at levels of 300 mg per day. Also, caffeine doesn’t lead to birth defects.

However, you should strictly limit your caffeine intake during pregnancy. Keep in mind that caffeine can get to the baby’s bloodstream.

The best thing you can do is focus on your nutrition and drink less coffee. 1 cup of coffee a day should be fine.
