#4 – Ask smart questions
Never ask the questions to which you perfectly know the answers, otherwise, you’ll be giving your child the opportunity to lie to defend themselves.
For instance, try asking your kid whether she/he would finish their homework before or after dinner instead of asking “did you finish your homework?”
This way, your kid will focus on a plan of action instead of developing a lie to avoid dealing with any negative reactions.
