According to research, babies aged 8 months old seem to really like it when bad things happen to bad people. Researchers from the University of British Columbia displayed various scenarios using puppets that act either positively or negatively toward other puppets, then, they showed the babies puppets either giving toys or taking them from other bad or good characters.

What happened is that the babies favored the puppets that treated the bad puppets badly from the very first time compared to those who were nice to naughty puppets.

Researchers believe that since this trait shows at a very early stage in life, it may be innate rather than learned.
